  Tour Itinerary

Day 01 Delhi / Leh ( 9W 609 0630 Hrs. / 0745 Hrs.)
Early morning transfer to airport to connect flight to Leh. Meeting assistance on arrival and transfer to the Hotel

Full day free. (Due to the altitude gain, it is mandatory to rest and acclimatize. The height is approximately 10,500 feet.

Day 02             Leh
After breakfast morning free for Independent activities.
Afternoon visit Leh Palace and Stok Palace Leh Palace, Set on a small hill,
Leh Palace towers above the town. It once the thriving royal residence of the ruling Namgyals and is said to have served as the model for the Potala, its more illustrious cousin in Lhasa and one-time residence of the Dalai Lama. A millennium-old,
seven-storeyed structure in mud and stone, it is mesmerizing to wander through the crumbling remnants of royalty and watch the brilliant Thangkas on its soot-stained walls.
Stok Palace, Located in a tiny village on the outskirts of Leh, this palace has been the Ladakhi royal family's residence for the last 150 years since the Dogra armies invaded the Leh Palace. One may have a chance encounter with the royals here too. It houses a museum, which is said to have the best collection of exquisite Thangka paintings in the whole of Ladakh. The other things housed here are crown jewels, dresses, coins, peraks encrusted with turquoise and lapis lazuli as well as religious objects.

Day 03          Leh / Hemis / Rafting / Leh (45 Kms. /2 Hrs one way)
After breakfast day excursion to Hemis and rafting on return.
Hemis : 45 kms from Leh, it is the wealthiest, best known and biggest gompa of Ladakh.  Its popularity stems from the major annual festival held here in summer.  The festival is in honour of Guru Padma Sambhav's birth anniversary.  It also has the largest thanka in Ladakh whish is unfirled once in 12 years.  On these days hundreds of pilgrims will gather  at Hemis to pay their tribute and homage. Hemis was built in 1630
during the reign of Sengge Namgyal, an illustrious ruler of Ladakh.  It flourished under the Namgyal dynasty for the royalty favoured the Drugkpa Sect which managed the monastery.  It is divided into two, the Assembly Hall on the right and the main temple on the left.  The Hall, Dukhang, is also used as a 'green room' by the dancers during the festival.  The temple is known as Tshogkhang.  The verandahs have a surfeit of frescoes, among them the Buddhist 'wheel of life' (Kalachakra) and the 'Lords of the Four Quarters', besides rows of prayer wheels.

Return by rafting float trip on the River Indus  from Karu to Stok then drive back to Leh.
(Indus river is one of the most scenic white water runs anywhere in the Himalayas. The view is breathtaking which takes one through the Canyons in the Ladakh and Zanskar ranges with various monasteries or gompas along the river bank.The icy cold and clear river have rapids generally of I and II grades and at some places, has grade III rapids)

Day 04         Leh / Nubra Valley (120 / 4 hrs approx)
After breakfast drive to Nubra, on arrival check in at Tented Camp / Lodge.
The Nubra Valley lies in the North of Leh and is accessible over the Khardungla Pass (5600 Mtrs),The Nubra valley has opened for Foreign Tourists in 1994 by the Govt. of India to expand tourist activities in ladakh region. The valley is on the trade route from leh to  Khangar via Samsar and Karakoram pass, Apart from unparallel trekking opportunities. The valley have several Buddhist Gompas Diskit Gompa is 350 years old
and is situated on the highest point near the village in which there are about 120 Resident Buddhist Monks.

Day 05        Nubra Valley
After breakfast full day visit Nubra Valley and Ride on Bactrian Camel for 1-2 Hrs.: The Nubra Valley means Ldumra (the valley of flowers), situated in the north of Leh. The average altitude of the valley is about 10,000 ft. above the sea level. The main attraction in this area is Bactarian Camels (Shaggy double hump Camel) around sand dunes, to Hunder Monastery. Later drive to Panamic hot sulpher spring and on the way back visit Samstaling and sumur monaster
